09 Christmas Drop # 172 - By The Toy Society!
Merry Christmas / Happy Hanukkah / Whatever it is you celebrate! Makers, Droppers, Finders, Readers - all of you!
What a great year it's been for The Toy Society, we'll do a little wrap up sometime around new year. To celebrate the World Wide toy Drop this morning The Toy Society left 10 handmade toy Christmas presents at Circular Quay, in sight of The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Dropped: Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia
Number of Toys: 10
Made by: Miss PenPen, Elaine, someone from the UK who kindly donated some birds a couple of months ago (sorry your note was misplaced!) and The Toy Society.
Dropped by: The Toy Society
And The Toy Society says: This was a little nerve wracking, done in the mid-morning at the biggest and most touristy destination in Sydney.
We hung around just for a minute and managed to capture a curious passerby.
And when we came passed two hours later, the toys were all gone!
If you haven't dropped your toy as part of the World Wide Christmas Toy Drop, then we'll include any toys dropped up to the end of Christmas Eve in the count. We'll do a wrap up in a few days.
Enjoy your holiday.

Very cool! I love seeing the picture of the empty tree. Thanks Toy Society for doing such a great thing. Merry Christmas!
that's such a great idea, this whole project gives me such a warm glow inside- thank-you
That is such a cool idea!
clever idea with the green tape shaped like a tree! May have to use that one myself NEXT year!
SO wonderful! I love the tree and the open presentation of it all. I'm sad that I didn't leave myself enough time for more than one Christmas drop, but I'm sure there'll be lots of toys popping up around here in the New Year...
Happy Christmas everyone!
That is so cool! I may use that next year. I am already thinking. I am so happy to be part of this amazing project.
